TREATMENT DATABASE
Cymbalta is a serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) primarily prescribed for pain. It is one of three medications currently approved for the treatment of fibromyalgia.
USES IN ME/CFS: Although Cymbalta is often prescribed by rheumatologists for their patients with fibromyalgia, most ME/CFS doctors prefer tricyclics or SSRIs over Cymbalta.
WARNING: Withdrawal symptoms after discontinuation can be severe.
